French Toast

Ingredients:

2-3 slices of bread
1 Egg
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Butter or oil for the pan

Directions:

1) To a small bowl, add the egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Whisk to combine.

2) Preheat a pan to medium heat, and lightly coat with butter or oil (to prevent sticking).

3) Then, soak your pieces of bread for 2-3 seconds per side. If using a bakery-style or heartier bread such as sourdough, baguette, or ciabatta, soak for a few more seconds per side in order for the egg mixture to reach the center.

4) Then, place your pieces of bread onto the pan and lower the heat to a medium-low setting. Cover (optional) and cook for 3-4 minutes per side.

5) When done, remove from the heat onto a baking rack or plate. Serve with berries, syrup, yogurt, or just by itself, and enjoy!
